I was invited to teach a Wings workshop at Whangarei for Vicki and was very happy to have been asked. There was a lovely group of ladies who joined me for the workshop and we had a lot of fun learning the choreography to Return of the Crown By Paul Dinletir. The Hafla in the evening was a really stellar 'show' with performers coming from as far as Kerikeri to Auckland to take part. What a fabulous day at the Diwali Festival here in Auckland - once again the people turned out and were supportive of the performers and the event. I had a really wonderful time dancing with Vicki, Glenys, Olga and Anya. The main stage is always a highlight and the warm, welcoming crowd didn't disappoint.
This coming Sunday, 18th October, the Indian community will be holding it's annual Diwali Festival in Auckland City, Queen Street and Aotea Square. I have danced at Diwali 3 times now both on the street and main stage under the Alapadma Dancers banner and have thoroughly loved it.
