MEDANZ Roots & Branches Festival

April 23rd - 26th.

What a fabulous time I had at the Festival in Christchurch. It was wonderful to catch up with 'old' friends and meet new friends too. From start to finish I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The accommodation/living quarters were great - and having the food provided onsite was a wonderful way to chill out and meet with other festival goers who would possibly normally eat out in their own little groups. The workshops were varied and there was something for everyone. I went to Nerissa's workshops and they were fabulous - she's a real pocket rocket. Loved her style of dance and choreographies.

Thoroughly enjoyed the show on the Saturday night. Lots of varied styles, Tribal, Gypsy, Orientale, Romany as well as having an historic theme running through. I had a stall at the Bazaar on Sunday and performed my wings choreography (from the workshop that I'd taught on Saturday - photo shown here), on the Open Stage where the Bazaar was being held.

Christchurch, you turned it on for us and it was awesome!
