What a wonderful time I had at Orewa this weekend.
MEDANZ had brought Mirian up from Wellington for a Minifest with Sandy and Tatyana as hosts in this beautiful part of the North Island. The workshops were fun and informative and I really enjoyed all the ones I participated in on Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday night a Hafla was held. What a great line up of dancers (including me - LOL), and we also had a wonderful singer, Sam Route, who got the audience up dancing.
Live drumming, LED wings, silk veils, fan veils, shamadan, Christmas themes, stunning costumes, you name it, it was there!
I was happy to entertain an enthusiastic auduience who welcomed and applauded all the performances with such gusto.
And it was also a lovely way to spend a weekend sharing a really nice bach right on the beach, with Angela. We had a lot of fun!
